A leader in fundraising for higher education and healthcare to lead ����Bվ’s development and alumni relations

Following a national search, ����Bվ has named Dr. Chad Warren as its next vice president of Advancement and executive director of the ����Bվ Foundation, pending ratification by the ����Bվ Board of Trustees at their next scheduled meeting. Warren currently serves as president and chief philanthropy officer of St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In his current role, Warren earned recognition by the Children’s Miracle Network for year-over-year fundraising for the foundation’s three acute care hospitals, seven community centers, five neighborhood hospitals and a rehabilitation hospital. In addition to his experience in healthcare philanthropy, Warren has also held positions at University of Dayton, Florida State University, The Ohio State University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He also served as vice president and consultant for the firm Ruffalo Noel Levitz.

“Dr. Warren is clearly passionate about the role that philanthropy plays in higher education, both for the students and the donors,” said Dr. Laura Bloomberg, president of ����Bվ. “I look forward to working closely with him as we engage our dedicated alumni and donors to explore new opportunities for the ����Bվ community.”

As executive director of the ����Bվ Foundation, Warren will liaise with the University’s independent nonprofit and its board of directors, who manage an endowment to support scholarships, faculty research and programs at ����Bվ. Mr. Michael Klein, 1991 alumnus of ����Bվ and chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, said, “Dr. Warren’s career accomplishments in terms of reaching record levels of philanthropic attainment, forging corporate and community partnerships, and developing advancement department infrastructure and personnel strongly align with the strategic goals of the University and the Foundation.”

Warren earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton and his MBA from Saint Leo University in Florida. He later earned a Doctor of Public Policy from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

“I have learned that philanthropy is personal and that it is the duty of any development professional to offer multiple ways to foster goodwill, helping each donor achieve their individual interests,” Warren said. “I am eager to bring my visionary leadership to ����Bվ and support its transformative growth.”

Warren will join the Senior Leadership Team at Cleveland State in March.
